Our Pastors.

At Colonial Church in St. Augustine, Florida, our Lead Pastors, Matt and Jill McCloghry, bring passion, vision, and deep love for God and people to everything they do. Their heart is to see lives transformed through Jesus, authentic community built, and future generations empowered in faith.

The Journey to St. Augustine

Matt and Jill’s story began in Sydney, Australia, where they both studied and served at Hillsong Church. After ministry experiences in Sydney, Atlanta, and New York City, they felt God calling them to continue their journey. Jill’s hometown roots brought them to St. Augustine, Florida, where they planted Colonial Church.

What began as a small Bible study in a living room has now grown into a thriving, Jesus-centered church that welcomes hundreds each week. Their vision remains simple: to welcome people home and make room for God to move.

About Pastor Matt

Before entering full-time ministry, Matt built a career in financial markets, which gave him a unique perspective on leadership and faith. Today, he channels that experience into pastoring, teaching, and shepherding others.

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree at Liberty Theological Seminary, Matt is passionate about encouraging people to become all God has called them to be. His leadership is marked by authenticity, practical teaching, and a strong commitment to discipleship.

About Pastor Jill

Jill is a gifted worship leader and songwriter, passionate about leading people into God’s presence through music and creativity. A graduate of Hillsong International Leadership College, she brings a heart for worship and a love for people into every aspect of her ministry.

Her desire is to see individuals experience freedom in Christ and to help foster a church culture where worship, creativity, and community go hand in hand.
